ABOUT US

Blue Future is a national organizing program run out of the Youth Progressive Action Catalyst, the largest progressive, youth-led, political action committee in America. We provide campaigns with the volunteer talent they need to reach voters & win, while simultaneously providing young people with a paid opportunity to build their power, make an impact on campaigns, and launch a career in community organizing.

We envision a world where no matter our color or origin, our income or zip code, desire and determination are the only things getting in the way of young people’s ability to push for a transformative and progressive agenda.

Our Mission
To continuously engage, mobilize, and connect young people across race and place to progressive campaigns, equipping them with the resources, tools, skills, and network to be effective volunteers, organizers, and community leaders.

The Blue Future Executive Director Fellowship

Young people are the most diverse and progressive generation America has ever seen. To win improvements in people’s lives, we must elect decision makers who represent our values and who will work with young people to implement solutions that bring America closer to a place where freedom and justice is for all of us.

That is why Blue Future is proud to launch the Executive Director Fellowship program. This leadership management fellowship is a program to strengthen the leadership of diverse young leaders who have a commitment to fighting for freedom and justice for all.

About the Fellowship
Launching in the summer of 2022, the program will sponsor a cohort of two individuals to serve as full-time employees of Blue Future for six months throughout the midterm elections. The fellowship will start on July 1, 2022 through December 30, 2022.

The Blue Future Executive Director Fellowship is a program to identify diverse youth leaders who are looking to embark on a career in social change by giving them access to expert-led, community focused leadership training, as well as direct experience running and managing an entire non-profit organization. Fellows will work directly with the co-founders of Blue Future and will be charged with overseeing all operations of the organization and the members it serves. By being a part of this fellowship, young people will gain valuable management and leadership experience and make a direct impact on the lives of the young people that they will serve.

The fellowship will consist of two main positions:

  • Executive Director of Organizing
  • Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Professional Development

Who should apply?
We encourage applications from young folks who are engaged in progressive politics, electoral and issue advocacy work, and have a passion to lead. Blue Future is not just an equal opportunity organization. We are actively seeking to build a diverse and inclusive youth led team with a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills to help build a vibrant democracy that works for all. Blue Future does not discriminate based upon race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, class, status as a veteran, status as an individual with a disability, incarceration or conviction history, or any other protected characteristic as established under law.
