Blue Future is excited to announce our Spring for Progress and Change program, a ten-week program where student organizers will have the opportunity to learn about important issues and become community organizers in their local areas. All students will attend weekly training sessions focused on issue advocacy, leadership and building youth power. Blue Future will specifically train students on how to create youth advisory councils for elected leaders in their own communities. At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to present a capstone project culminating all of their work and strategic vision for continued organizing.

With this training program, Blue Future will be partnering with organizations leading on issues including the Climate crisis, Racial Justice, Reproductive Justice, Democracy Reform, Gun Violence Prevention, LGBTQ+ Rights, and Student Debt Cancellation + Free College. At Blue Future, we believe that young people must push for a profoundly transformative and progressive agenda that will change our lives for the better and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.

Importantly, this training program will center the intersectional nature of various issues and organizers will develop a sophisticated understanding of politics and how to build a theory of change that addresses all issues that are important to our generation. We also believe that young people don’t only need a seat at the table, they need a whole new table so this program will strongly focus on building youth power within your communities.
